Announcements
1.Today there will be a second collection in honour of Blessed Joseph Allamano and the proceeds will go towards the Consolata Seminaries.
2. The Catholic Men Association (CMA) will hold their 1st meeting of this year today after the 9.00am Mass at the Parish Hall. All members are asked to attend. A special and warm invitation goes out to all the men from this Parish that are yet to join the group to attend the meeting.
3. The Catholic Women Association will meet today in Room 3 after the 9.00am Mass for their monthly meeting. Members are asked to be punctual.
4. The construction of the Prayer Garden is still on-going. Your contributions towards this project are welcome.
5. The new edition of the Sunday Missal is on sale after the Masses today.
6. This week on Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Season of Lent. It is a day of Fasting and Abstinence. There will be the imposition of Ashes at all Masses. The evening Mass at the Shrine will begin at 6.00pm instead of the usual 5.30pm. Next Sunday being the 1st Sunday of Lent; ashes will also be imposed during all the Masses.
7. Every Friday during Lent the Stations of the Cross will be celebrated both at the Shrine and Holy Trinity Church after the evening Mass. Please keep in mind that the Fridays of Lent are days of Abstinence. The three schemes of the way of the Cross that will be used in our parish during this Lenten season will be available for sale from next Friday.
8. On Saturday this week, there will be a Formation Session for all the Children that have received their 1st Holy Communion. The sessions take place from 10.00am to 1.00pm. Parents are asked to bring their children for these sessions.
9. The 9.00am Mass next Sunday will be the Children’s Mass. All Children are invited to attend the Mass. There will be no Sunday school on that day.
10. Members of Small Christian Communities are asked to check the notice boards for the Mass schedules in their respective small Christian communities for this Lenten season.
